Additional Description: From the National Register nomination form: "In both appearance and atmosphere, the old graveyard communicates the sense of being hallowed ground. There is a feeling of tranquility, dignity, and antiquity that effectively separates the historic burial place from the newer cemetery which has grown up between it and what was originally the Butler home site, now occupied by the church."
