Caption: Marker detail: The Potrimpos
Additional Description: The Potrimpos, which was stranded on the beach several miles north of here in 1896 is an example of a bark, or barque, a three masted ship. All four ships which wrecked at the entrance to the Columbia River in 1853 were barks.
