Tobacco Inspection Towns | Additional Description: Tobacco inspection towns like nearby Broad Creek were among Maryland’s colonial settlements. With its racially blended population, Broad Creek (1706) shipped tobacco to Europe, produced seaworthy ships, and was a commercial fishing center.
