Caption: First Vermont Brigade Monument
Additional Description: The Brigade was arrayed to the north, on the right of this photo, of what is today Wright Avenue. At the time of the battle, the ground was open slope. One or two regiments were dispatched to the east side of Taneytown Road on the 3rd, for short periods of time.
