The Mulberry artificial harbour off Arromanches in Normandy | Additional Description: An aerial oblique photograph of the Mulberry Harbour off Arromanches. Artificial harbours were constructed along the beach shortly after D-Day so that armoured vehicles and heavy guns could be landed.
