Additional Description: Father Bekkers, the first pastor of Saint Paul parish is credited with opening a school for boys next to the church. He was also instrumental in the founding of Saint Joseph hospital and he purchased land for Calvary Cemetery. At Father Bekkers’ request he was buried in a vault in the main vestibule of Saint Paul church.
