Caption: Tuscarora Fire Tower
Additional Description: This is the only other fire tower in Allegany State Park still standing and in its original location, on Mount Tuscarora. It is only accessible on foot. It is at about the midpoint of hiking trail #1: Firetower - Mt. Tuscarora. The trail is about 5.2 miles long. The very steep west end is located on ASP 3 (Allegany State Park Route 3) near Quaker Lake. The trail follows the top ridge, parallel to ASP 3 in the valley. The east end of the hiking trail is in the Quaker cabin area, south of the large maintenence area, near Brow cabin trail.
