The temple houses some of the alleged remains of Santa Celeste
Photographer: J. Makali Bruton
Taken: September 5, 2018
Caption: The temple houses some of the alleged remains of Santa Celeste
Additional Description: A nearby informational sheet mentions that the remains of Saint Celeste were brought from Spain in the 18th century by the temple's Carmelite nuns and Manuel Molina. The remains consist of bones, hair and blood of the saint. The bones have been incorporated into this statue. Unfortunately, there does not appear to be any historical information which backs up the authenticity of these remains or the existence of Saint Celeste.
