Additional Description: As the marker mentions, the monument was one of the first to Lincoln in the western United States. Its inscription under the tablet to the Gettysburg address reads, "Presented to the State of Idaho by the Ladies of the Grand Army of the Republic of Boise Feb’y 19th 1915."
