Additional Description: On one side of the marker is engraved “Per la verita/secolare per la/guistizia della/storia questo/monumento/rivendicatore/eresse il progresso/Italio-Americano/Carlo Barsotti/editore la colonia/Italiana concorde, il VI Ottobre MCMIX”, which translates very roughly as: “Carlo Barsotti, publisher of (the newspaper) “Il Progresso Italio-Americano” organized the installation of this statue on October 6, 1909”
