Additional Description: Julia King, a professor of anthropology at nearby St. Mary’s College of Maryland, and her students performed archaeology at La Grange in 2016. They believe that the site is the birthplace of Josiah Henson, who is the inspiration for the title character in "Uncle Tom's Cabin."
