Additional Description: James Tanner is buried in Arlington National Cemetery, Section 2, grave number 877. The TANNER gravestone is visible on Google Street View. On May 30, 2014 the "old amphitheater" in Arlington National Cemetery was renamed the James R. Tanner Amphitheater in honor of Tanner, who is buried only a few steps away from the amphitheater.
