Esta lapida conmemorativa fue colocada el 30 de noviembre de 1935, en celebración del 100.er aniversario de su nacimiento.

In this house lived the illustrious historian and novelist, Eligio Ancona Castillo, in which he wrote most of his works during the last third of the 19th century.
