Caption: Advance of the 11th Mississippi
Additional Description: Looking past the position marker toward the Confederate lines on Seminary Ridge. The Regiment began its advance on July 3 in the woods seen in the distance. The 11th Mississippi was the left most unit in the advance and was subjected to heavy fire on it's front and flanks. Only a handful of the men reached the stone wall.
