Caption: Fourteenth U.S. Infantry Tablet
Additional Description: Seen from Crawford Avenue. Rising behind the tablet is Houck's Ridge. Initially elements of Ward's Brigade (specifically the 20th Indiana and 86th New York Infantry) occupied the high ground in the woods. By the time the 14th U.S. Infantry, and the rest of the First Brigade arrived, those units had fallen back.
