Caption: The 95th Defends the Ridge
Additional Description: Looking from just behind the marker toward the west. In front of this position was the low ground north of the "Railroad Cut." At around 2 p.m. Daniel's Confederate Brigade advanced into the sector from the north. Part of that brigade turned into the woods of Oak Ridge encountering the left side of Cutler's Brigade, including the 95th New York.
