Position of the 95th New York at the Railroad Cut
Photographer: Craig Swain
Taken: November 1, 2008
Caption: Position of the 95th New York at the Railroad Cut
Additional Description: Looking from the regiment's right flank marker toward the railroad cut. The left flank marker stone is next to the bridge abutment. Of course the road bridge was not in place at the time of the battle. The 95th New York along with the 6th Wisconsin and 84th New York caught parts of Davis' Brigade in the cut, and inflicted heavy casualties on the Confederates.
