Notice to Mariners.
The new Light House on Point Prim was lighted for the first time, on Thursday evening, the fourth last, and will continue to be lighted as long as the navigation remains open. The Light House stands near the extremity of the Point, and the Light, which is White and Fixed, is sixty-six feet above high water, and can be seen from the deck of a schooner at the distance of about 13 miles. It bears S. 39 deg. E. by compass, from the S.W. Point of St. Peter’s Island; and N. 39 West by compass 8 ¼ miles from Rifleman Point off Flat River.
