Caption: An additional Burnet County Jail Marker
Additional Description: City of Burnet – 1883 - Historical District
This jailhouse was built in 1884 with cells upstairs and the sheriff’s office and living quarters downstairs. In continuous use to the present time, it house prisoners until 1982 when a new jail was constructed.
