Caption: 16th Maine Infantry Stand
Additional Description: The 16th Maine stood on a refuse line across the crest of Oak Ridge at around 4 p.m. on July 1. The position is indicated by both left and right flank markers in addition to the position marker. The left flank marker is in the foreground here on the near side of Doubleday Avenue. The right flank marker is seen just beyond the position marker on the other side of the road.
