Law
Photographer: Craig Swain
Taken: November 11, 2008
Caption: Law's Brigade In Line
Additional Description: Law's Brigade marched some 25 miles on July 2, 1863 to arrive at Gettysburg. In the mid-afternoon, the brigade formed a line on Warfield Ridge, parallel to the modern park road, but about 50 yards to the west (right). From this point the Brigade advanced, but was split in action. Part of the brigade, as indicated on the tablet, attacked the Devil's Den. The other part attacked Little Round Top. See "related markers" for the locations attacked by the regiment at those points.
