Caption: Marker detail: Maxime Albert
Additional Description: Maxime Albert, born across the river in Saint-Hilaire, is said to have dealt with Al Capone. He fled to Frenchville but returned to Canada in 1943. Shown above with notorious Fortunat Pelletier (left).

Albert’s Altar: Allegedly, some of Maxime Albert's profits found their way to church, funding an ornate altar for Saint-Hilaire and land for its presbytery (priest's residence).
