Caption: Eustis' Brigade Line
Additional Description: Looking south at the tablet location (just left of the road), with monuments to the 10th Massachusetts Infantry and 1st Massachusetts Cavalry beyond. The main regimental line was behind where the equestrian memorial to General Sedgwick stands (on the left of this photo). At the time of the battle, the ground was open back to the Emmitsburg Road. The Brigade was arrayed with the 37th Massachusetts on the right (north), with the 10th and 7th Massachusetts in the center. On the left of the brigade line was the 2nd Rhode Island, close to the modern intersection of Sedgwick Avenue and Wheatfield Road.
