Taken: August 24, 2019
Caption: Locke Hall
Additional Description: (from Blair Academy Campus Map) This building dates back to 1891 and was originally called Girls’ Building or Girls’ Dorm; in 1901, it was renamed in memory of Nancy Locke, wife of Blair Academy founder John I. Blair. Today, as Blair’s largest girls’ dormitory, Locke Hall is home to freshmen and sophomores from all over the world, and each floor includes a faculty apartment. The Head of School and admission offices occupy the dorm’s first floor, making it the first stop for many campus visitors.
