Canada has had various forms of money throughout its history, from tokens to paper to polymer currency. Shown below are silver beaver tokens, and an engraver's plate and tools. Since 1935, the Bank of Canada has been responsible for designing and issuing Canada's bank notes, which incorporate anti-counterfeiting features and images of national significance.

Des jetons à la monnaie de papier, puis de polymère, la monnaie canadienne a pris diverses formes au cours des siècles. On voit ci-dessous des pièces « peau de castor » en argent ainsi qu'une plaque d'impression et des outils de gravure. Depuis 1935, la Banque du Canada a la responsabilité de concevoir et d'émettre les billets de banque canadiens, qui comportent des éléments de sécurité et des images d'importance nationale.
