Eugene Fitch Ware, Commissioner of Pensions, is a poet, but this should not be to his detriment, as he makes a very eminent Pension Commissioner notwithstanding. Under the nom de plume of “Ironquill”, he has composed some very fetching poems one of the most beautiful of which is entitled, “He'll never be broke while his Mother draws her Pension.”
