To The Unknown Confederate Dead Marker | Additional Description: This tablet was placed on this monument by the United States to mark the burial place of six Confederate soldiers who died at Clarysville, Maryland, while prisoners of war, and whose remains were there buried, but subsequently removed to this lot where the individual graves cannot now be identified. And the names of the dead are:
