Caption: Marker and the Stone Wall of Pardee Field
Additional Description: Looking east from the marker toward the stone wall of Pardee field (on the right). On the morning of July 3, the Confederates made one more attempt to gain the crest of Culp's Hill. Steuart's Brigade charged across Pardee Field, with the 1st Maryland Battalion reaching this point near the line of the 5th Ohio, before being repulsed.
