Additional Description: Bronze tablet and granite marker erected on Sugar Creek road, near Charlotte, N. C., to the memory of Major Joseph Graham, by the Mecklenburg Declaration of Independence Chapter, D.A.R., with assistance from North Carolina Historical Commission, and from the descendants of Major Graham, unveiled May 20, 1918. Major Graham was an eye-witness to the signing of the Mecklenburg Declaration of Independence May 20, 1775.
