The 77th Regiment, New York Volunteers Marker | Additional Description: On July 16, 2020 vandals damaged the monument overnight, toppling the cast-zinc statue from its pedestal, causing sever damage breaking it into pieces. Evergreene Architectural Artists of Maryland did the repair work for $58,218, which was covered through the city's insurance program. The monument, which was donated by Veterans of the 77th Regiment for $3,000 in 1875, was scheduled for a post-repair unveiled in November of 2021.
