Additional Description: Perhaps to be interpreted that Truth is their cornerstone? Or that the Church is founded upon Truth? The cornerstone was laid in August 1890 by the California Grand Lodge of Masons, as many members of the congregation were Masons.

Completed at a cost of $77,000 the church was dedicated on September 6, 1891.
