" The Fighting Lady " began her combat career against the Japaneese in August 1943 and participated significantly in the Pacific offensive that ended with the defeat of Japan in August 1945. Recommissioned in 1953 too late to see action off Korea, she did recieve 4 battle stars off Vietnam
