Additional Description: "Photograph of an exterior view of the home of Don Juan Forster at the Mission San Juan Capistrano, [s.d.]. The adobe building is shown at center, in disrepair....Mr. Forster bought the property from the mission. He was born in 1815, in Liverpool, England, a child from a very unpretentious family who grew up to become one of the largest landowners in all of California."
