Additional Description: As the other gun this example is an early model 8-inch Rodman Gun, cast in 1861 by Fort Pitt, as registry number 79. The muzzle markings indicate it weighed 8474 pounds at that time. It was inspected by John McNutt (initials J.M.N.).
