Caption: Grumman F4F Wildcat
Additional Description: WWII Navy and Marine fighter plane used by Navy and Marine fighter pilots during early part of WWII. Grumman F4F was subsequently replaced in 1942 by the Grumman F6F Hellcat. Both planes were used at NAS Melbourne Florida during operational training then in aerial combat and carrier operations. Donated by CDR W.R. Barnett USNR (ret)
