Cadet Life Garden - Summer Camp | Additional Description: Military training, both in classroom and on the drill field, was compulsory for all cadets. At the end of their junior year, qualified cadets attended a six-week summer camp at a regular U.S. Army post for field instruction under U.S. Army personnel. This was a requirement for receiving a commission as a 2nd Lieutenant in the Army Reserves. Fort McClellan (seen here), located near Anniston, Alabama, was one of the summer training sites.
