Fort Morant Bay | Additional Description: The memorial is just south of the remains of Fort Morant, built around 1758 with nine guns. The fort is directly south of the old Morant Bay Courthouse. The courthouse, which was burned in 1865 as part of the Morant Bay Rebellion, burned again in an accident in 2007 and is currently in ruins.
