Additional Description: Captions (right side, top to bottom) : (r) Young John Ellingsen's fascination with music machines started early. John is next to the Wulitzer Band Organ style 150, aka the Obnoxious Horn Machine, which was located in the Bale of Hay Saloon.; A reservation ticket, made by Ellinsen on historic presses in the Montana Post Print Shop.; (l) John and his Aunt Alta in front of the Hangman's Building on their first visit in Virginia City.; (r) This building was originally built in 1871 by E.S. Depuis in Laurin, Montana. It had been torn down for firewood when John and Charlie rescued it and put it back together in Nevada City in 1976.; (l) John working on the Seeberg player piano in the Music Hall this beloved dog Reddy in 1996.; (r) John aboard Engine #12, a fully restored 1910 Baldwin steam locomotive that made its debut in Alder Gulch in July 1999. John designed and helped build the Nevada City Engine House in 1998-1991, to house #12.; (l) Ford Bovey and John in Ennis when the State of Montana purchased the Bovey Properties in 1997.
