Additional Description: Knob Creek passes through Ironton Gap, which allows passage from the town of Pilot Knob to Ironton. Shepherd Mountain is on the left, with Pilot Knob just out of view on the right. Today a railroad line runs through the gap next to Missouri Highway 21.
