Significant Property
This building is the oldest building on the Erskine College Campus. It was designed in the Italian Renaissance style by architect Thomas Veal of Columbia. Constructed in 1859 and still in use, it is the home of the Philomatheum Literary Society. The society meeting room on the second floor features an elaborate ceiling mural and tromp Poeil podium.
