Additional Description: Bragg’s Confederate troops left their base here on April 3, 1862 for the advance on Grant's army in Shiloh. The crossing of the Mobile & Ohio and Memphis & Charleston Railroads made Corinth, Miss. an ideal location for the Confederate base.
