3.80-inch James Rifle, Type 1 | Additional Description: This rifle used the pattern of the older 6-pdr Model 1841 Field Gun, but with a 3.80-inch bore and 15 groove rifling. This piece was cast at Greenwood & Company, Cincinnati, Ohio in 1862. It has the registry number 108 on the muzzle, and the initials "S.B." for the inspector. It weighed 884 pounds.
