Tazewell County Courthouse
Photographer: Duane and Tracy Marsteller
Taken: June 18, 2023
Caption: Tazewell County Courthouse
Additional Description: Architect W.G. Bottimore designed the original Second Empire style courthouse, which was built of red brick in 1874-75. Much of that design was altered in a 1914 remodeling that removed a square tower, reclad the building in buff-colored brick, and added a double-height four-column pedimented Doric portico in front.
