STANFORD SERVICE SKETCHES
James Grant Fergusson, '08, was the first Stanford man to fall in the World War.
After graduating from Stanford, he took the degree of M. D. at Johns Hopkins; but when the war started, after serving for a time as a medical officer, he entered a line regiment. He was lieutenant, in the Scottish Black Watch, a famous regiment. He fell June 14, 1916.
