Gunner's View | Additional Description: Looking down the barrel of one of the guns. The two field pieces are both stamped with the year of manufacture - 1844. On the muzzle are the foundry numbers - 21 and 22. These guns were produced with the standard 6-pdr, 3.67-inch smooth bore. At some point either before or at the start of the war, the weapons were rifled, retaining the bore diameter between the lands.
