We Build, We Fight | Additional Description: The first Naval Construction
Battalion was commissioned
March 15, 1942 at Camp Allen,
Norfolk, Virginia. Camp Allen
served as a Training Center for
other early Naval Construction
Battalions. This monument is
dedicated in honor of Seabees
past and present who have
carried the "Can Do" spirit around
the world in war and peace.
