Caption: Marker detail: Ottertail Train Depot around 1910
Additional Description: By 1885 most of the city was torn down, and residents moved to Perham and Fergus Falls, the two towns that had gained most from the location of the railroads. Rail service finally arrived in 1903, when the Soo Line laid tracks one mile east of the original townsite. Otter Tail City became Ottertail Village.
