Additional Description: He was the institution's second president, serving from 1906 to 1934. During his tenure, enrollment quadrupled to nearly 1,800 students to become the third-largest women's college in the country. The physical campus also grew under his leadership, adding eleven residence halls, three dining halls, classroom building, gymnasium, auditorium and more between 1906 and 1931.
