Ukrainian Village Marker | Additional Description: The brown street sign above the green Leavitt Street is dedicated to Patriarch Mstyslav, a Ukrainian religious figure who was a bishop in Nazi-occupied Ukraine, in Western Europe and North America. In June 1990, he was elected Patriarch of Kyiv before returning to the United States amid division within the Ukrainian church. He died in 1991 in Canada at age 95 and is buried in New Jersey.
