Additional Description: On May 8, 2018, on the 237th Anniversary of General Bernard De Galez's victory The British at the Battle of Pensacola. The Pensacola Heritage Foundation dedicated this Galvez monument and gifted it to the City of Pensacola. "May the statue of Bernardo de Galvez serve as a reminder that Spain offered the blood of her soldiers for the cause of American Independence," -His Majesty King Juan Carlos I of Spain
